Fogging in Gurugram: what to know
Gurugram's dengue season is long. Doctors quoted in 2024 said it usually runs from June to mid-December, and the city recorded at least 175 confirmed cases by 8 November that year. Reported hotspots were Om Nagar, Kadipur, Anjana Colony and Manesar, but adult mosquitoes rest wherever there's shade and moisture, and newer Gurugram has plenty of both.
Think of the villa lawns and hedges of DLF Phase 4 and 5, Nirvana Country and Malibu Town, or the society podium gardens laid over basement parking, with fountains and planters. Add building sites along Dwarka Expressway and in New Gurgaon, where water sits in pits, and the rain itself: the city flagged 159 waterlogging hotspots before the 2026 monsoon. Thermal fog suits these outdoor spaces; cold ULV is for clubhouses, gyms, offices and warehouses.
We fog in the early evening, when mosquitoes are moving and the air is calm, and move the slot if it rains or the wind picks up. In a hot Gurugram afternoon, rising air lifts the fog away. Residents get notice, and anyone with asthma keeps away from the fogged side.

Got an MCG larvae notice? Fogging won't clear it
In dengue season, MCG and health department teams check homes for larvae. On one day in July 2024 they visited 9,095 houses and found larvae in 122, and issued 114 notices under Section 214 of the Municipal Bylaws Act, 1973, bringing that season's total to 3,024.
Those notices are about breeding, which fogging doesn't touch. The fog kills adults in the air; larvae in a cooler, planter saucer or AC tray keep hatching. After a notice, empty and scrub every water container this week, and book mosquito control, which uses larvicide where water can't be emptied (Mosquito Control in Gurugram). Fog the lawn or podium alongside it.
