In a tower, cockroaches move between flats through the shafts. If a few families on the same stack book the same week, the treatment holds longer for everyone.

Water on Sohna Road

GMDA is re-plumbing supply to the southern sectors in 2026. A new booster station in Sector 72, due to start in October 2026, is meant to send 95 MLD to Sectors 58 to 80, fed by an 18 km pipeline from the Chandu Budhera treatment plant that went on trial in mid-2026. Until now the Sohna Road sectors have drawn on the Sector 51 booster, which serves sectors 42 to 74 and Badshahpur. When the canal breached in January 2023, Sectors 70 to 72 were among those left without water.

Groundwater is the other half of the story. PHED data reported in 2018 labelled groundwater in 37 areas near Manesar, Farrukhnagar, Sohna Road and Sohna as non-potable, and some societies run tubewells or buy tankers to fill gaps.

  • Society reservoirs that mix GMDA, tubewell and tanker water collect sediment faster. Ask the maintenance office how often the underground reservoir is cleaned; every 3 to 4 months suits mixed water.
  • Your flat's overhead tank, where you have one, is yours to book: ₹699 up to 1,000 L, ₹999 up to 2,000 L.
  • When the source changes, say from tanker to the new pipeline, clean once the new supply has settled.

A tank clean removes sludge, scale and biofilm from storage. It doesn't remove dissolved salts, treat groundwater or add supply. For society reservoirs, see cleaning for society reservoirs in Gurugram.

When Sohna Road floods

Sohna Road and its junctions have waterlogged in each of the last three monsoons. On 25 July 2024 Subhash Chowk waterlogged and traffic jammed along Sohna Road. In July 2025 The Tribune listed Sohna Road among the roads that were submerged. After rain on 4 August 2026, one commuter took almost three hours to drive from Ambience Mall to Vatika Chowk. GMDA now says it is working with NHAI and MCG on "persistent waterlogging" along the corridor, and points to the new Leg-4 drain from Vatika Chowk and a new drain between Subhash Chowk and the Medanta underpass.

For homes, the risk is what the water carries in:

  • Cockroaches and rats come up when drains back up. Ground-floor and lower-floor flats see them first. See cockroach treatment for Sohna Road flats.
  • Standing water breeds mosquitoes within days. Indoor mosquito treatment for a 2BHK is ₹1,599; for a society's lawns and podiums, thermal fogging is priced per sq ft.
  • Basements and stilts that took water need sanitizing before cars and stored goods go back (2BHK home sanitization ₹1,499).

Cleaning and pest work deal with the aftermath. Drains, seepage and the road are for the society, GMDA and NHAI.

Offices along the corridor

Sohna Road is one of Gurugram's office corridors as well as a place to live, and office jobs here follow the same pattern as homes: pantries draw cockroaches, and the monsoon brings in dirt and damp.

  • Office cleaning: workstations, cabins, washrooms, pantry and glass. Regular cleaning is a flat ₹2,500–3,500 for an office up to 500 sq ft and ₹4–6 per sq ft above that; a deep clean is ₹3,000–4,999 for a small office and ₹6–10 per sq ft above 500 sq ft. All including GST, fixed in writing after a free site visit.
  • Timing: before or after office hours, or on a weekend, so work isn't disturbed. We confirm the building's entry rules for our team first.
  • Pest control for offices is ₹1–2 per sq ft per service including GST (minimum 800 sq ft), confirmed after the same visit; smaller offices are quoted after we see them.

Sohna Road: your questions

Which part of Sohna Road do you cover?
All of it in Gurugram: Subhash Chowk, the Sector 47–49 stretch, Vatika Chowk, the newer sectors further south and Badshahpur. Give us your society or building and tower.
The new Sector 72 booster is starting. Should we clean our tanks after the switch?
Yes, once the new supply has been running steadily for a few days. Changing source stirs up sediment, and a clean then gives you a fresh start.
Our society asked us to remove flowerpots from the balcony edge. Can we still fit a bird net?
Usually, yes. We fit the net inside the balcony line, but anything fixed to the outside wall is your society's decision, so check the rule first.
Can you come on the day the road is flooded?
We'll try, but heavy rain slows every route into Gurugram. Book early and we'll confirm a slot once the roads clear.
Do you clean offices on weekends?
Yes. Office cleans are priced after a free visit and can be scheduled outside working hours, weekends included.
