Why move-in and move-out cleaning is priced differently

An empty home takes less time to clean than a furnished one because there is no furniture to move around or work between, which is why move-in and move-out cleaning is priced separately from a regular home deep clean. The focus shifts to cabinets, fittings, floors and walls rather than furniture.

If the flat is in heavy condition, such as right after construction or after a long-term tenant has left without cleaning, the price adjusts upward since the kitchen and bathrooms usually need more scrubbing time. Villas are priced after a free visit because layouts and the amount of work vary too much to quote without seeing the space.

What gets cleaned in an empty flat

The kitchen gets cabinets cleaned inside and out, degreasing of tiles and cabinet tops, and attention to the sink, drain and grout. Bathrooms get a machine scrub with hard-water and scale removal on fittings, along with the exhaust fan and mirror.

Every room gets ceiling-to-floor dusting covering fans, lights, switchboards, windows, grills, doors and wardrobe exteriors, finished with a machine floor scrub. The balcony and entrance are also cleaned as part of the same visit.

The Move-in Ready Pack and what is not included

For families moving into a new home, the Move-in Ready Pack combines the empty-home deep clean with general pest control and one overhead tank clean, so the flat is ready on more than just the cleaning front before furniture arrives.
