Water in DLF Phase 4

DLF Phase 4 takes its piped water through the Sector 16 pumping-station line: when that station was shut for 30 hours in March 2023, the notice named "DLF I, II and IV" among the areas affected. Villas and floors here store water in an underground sump and one or more roof tanks, and the DLF towers use an underground reservoir feeding overhead tanks.

Sump and roof tanks: every 3 to 4 months if a tubewell or tanker tops up the supply, and at least twice a year if you're on GMDA water alone.
After a shutdown: once supply is back and running clear, because the first refill stirs up whatever has settled.
After heavy rain: straight away if rainwater could have reached the sump lid (see the next section).

A sump up to 3,000 L costs ₹1,499 and one up to 5,000 L ₹1,999; a roof tank up to 1,000 L is ₹699, and 365-plan members get ₹149 off each extra tank cleaned in the same visit. Sector 28 near Chakkarpur: still on GMDA's list

In July 2026 GMDA said Gurugram's waterlogging hotspots had dropped from about 90 to 7, and "Sector 28 near Chakkarpur" is one of the seven it still lists, with permanent engineering work said to be under way. The city's 21.5 km Leg-2 storm-water drain also starts near Sectors 27 and 28 and Chakkarpur village before running towards the Najafgarh drain.

That doesn't mean the whole phase floods. It means houses towards the Chakkarpur side are the ones to watch after a heavy downpour. If water stood near your gate or reached a basement or stilt:

Check the sump lid. If runoff could have got in, have the sump cleaned before anyone drinks or cooks with that water.
Watch the drain traps for a week. Cockroaches and rats come up through floor traps and chambers when the lines are full. A cockroach treatment for a 3BHK is ₹1,449.
Empty pots and trays in the garden and book mosquito treatment if larvae appear (₹1,899 for a 3BHK).

Living next to Galleria Market

Galleria Market and Super Mart put restaurants, cafés and food shops a few houses away from family homes. Food waste and busy drains suit rats and cockroaches, and the houses on the lanes behind the shops are where they turn up first.
