MG Road metro station, opened in June 2010, sits between two malls, DLF City Centre and MGF Metropolitan. We don't work inside mall food courts without the mall's own approval, so outlets inside a mall should check with their facility team first.

Water and sewers under MG Road

Most buildings on MG Road store water in an underground tank feeding overhead tanks on the roof, and a busy commercial building draws on them hard all day. For offices, restaurants and residential towers alike, plan on a clean every 3 to 4 months if a tubewell or tanker supplements the supply, and at least twice a year otherwise.

The bigger local story is below the road. On 26 August 2026, after rain, part of the NH-48 service road near IFFCO Chowk caved in. An NHAI official put it down to possible leakage or failure of a 1,000 mm GMDA master sewer, and GMDA said the road would be repaired after the sewer. A columnist in ThePrint noted that this sewer carries the waste of DLF Phase II and MG Road, and that the junction had seen ground collapses in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Old, overloaded sewers under a strip of restaurants are the kind of setting where cockroaches and rats use drain lines to reach kitchens and basements. Keep floor traps sealed, grease traps cleaned and bins closed overnight; a treatment lasts much longer when those are in place.

Offices, shops and kitchens: working after hours

Most offices, shops and restaurants on MG Road can't close for a day, so we plan around them.

Offices: workstations, cabins, washrooms, pantry and glass. Regular cleaning is a flat ₹2,500–3,500 for an office up to 500 sq ft and ₹4–6 per sq ft above that; a deep clean is ₹3,000–4,999 up to 500 sq ft and ₹6–10 per sq ft above that, including GST. Timing: before staff arrive, after closing, or at weekends; night visits on request. Building management usually wants the team's names and IDs in advance; we send them.
Kitchens: cockroach gel in a restaurant or office pantry goes into cracks, hinges and under equipment, and your technician tells you how long to keep the treated area clear before the kitchen reopens. Rat control starts with finding how they get in.

When MG Road goes under water

MG Road was the first name on The Tribune's list of key roads submerged in Gurugram's July 2025 downpour, and the Deccan Herald listed it among the waterlogged locations after rain in late June 2024 too. For a building on the strip, the clean-up after a flood looks like this:

Basement and ground floor first: silt out, then a deep clean and sanitizing of the surfaces water touched. Offices are priced by area; home sanitization for a 2BHK is ₹1,499.
Underground tank check: if runoff could have reached a tank cover, that tank should be cleaned before use.
A week later, pest control: cockroaches and rats driven up from flooded drains turn up in the days after. Cockroach control for a 3BHK flat is ₹1,449.
