The RWA describes the township's services (electric cables, sewerage, water supply and storm-water pipes) as laid underground. That keeps lanes tidy, but it means a problem in the sewer under the road can show up first in your floor trap.

Water in Ardee City

Ardee City gets municipal water through its underground network. In May 2023 The Tribune listed it, alongside South City, the DLF phases and Malibu Towne, among colonies where the average water bill is modest but summer water-buying can eat up to a third of a household's income, in other words colonies that lean on tankers when supply runs short. We found no reported contamination case in Ardee City.

What matters here is where your sump sits. In a township with sewer lines that overflow in the rain, a sump with a low or loose lid is the weak point:

Check the lid after every heavy rain. If sewage or drain water has stood over it, don't use the water; have the sump emptied, cleaned and disinfected.
On tanker water in summer, clean the roof tank and sump every 3 to 4 months; on steady municipal supply, every 6 months is enough.
Villas usually need two tanks done together, sump and roof; 365-plan members get ₹149 off the second.

Drains, garbage and what comes indoors

Ardee City's sanitation has made the news more than once. In January 2024 a resident wrote to The Tribune that garbage was piling up on the streets, with too few dustbins. In June 2024 the township was listed among Gurugram's waterlogged locations and drains were reported blocked there. In January 2025 residents of Sector 52 described sewage overflowing from manholes as a daily problem, and that month the MCG Commissioner visited Ardee City with GMDA's chief engineer, and the RWA raised recurring sewage overflow, poor roads and irregular sweeping. He ordered the sewer lines cleaned and repaired, roads repaired and regular sweepers posted.

Civic fixes are MCG's job. What reaches your kitchen is ours:

Cockroaches live in sewer lines and come up through floor traps and kitchen drains when the lines back up. Gel at every trap and drain point, with a spray along skirting, is the treatment; a 3BHK is ₹1,449.
Rats follow garbage. Bait stations along the outside wall and sealed gaps under doors keep them out of villas and ground floors; a 3BHK is ₹1,499.
Mosquitoes breed in standing sewage and rainwater. Indoor mosquito control for the house, and thermal fogging outdoors for villa lawns.
Smell and residue after an overflow need a proper clean of bathrooms, kitchen drains and floors, followed by sanitization.

Balconies and the flowerpot rule

In 2025 Ardee City was one of the Gurugram RWAs that asked residents to take flowerpots off balcony edges, and anything hanging outside, after a fatal accident in Pune, with fines proposed for anyone who didn't. If you live in one of the apartment blocks or an upper floor, that rule shapes how pigeons can be kept out.

Keep it inside the railing. We fit bird nets within the balcony line wherever the layout allows, so nothing hangs outside the facade.
Ask the RWA first if a net or spikes would change how the building looks from outside; some approve, some don't.
Bird netting is ₹15–45 per sq ft depending on the net, with a minimum of ₹2,499, including GST.

Pigeon droppings on AC ledges are the other half of the job: they're cleaned off before the net goes up.
