Water on Golf Course Road

The south end of the road is where GMDA's network runs thin. Newslaundry's June 2026 report lists Sectors 54, 55, 56 and 57 among the city's tail-end areas. In Sector 55, GMDA supplies about 4 lakh litres against roughly 11.5 lakh litres of demand per cycle, and an operator said only about 60 of every 100 households get water in summer. In Sector 56, tubewells run 15 to 16 hours to make up the gap. In May 2024, Sectors 55, 56 and 57 also had complaints of erratic supply.

So in many towers here, the society reservoir holds a mix of canal water and tubewell water, and sometimes tanker water. Mixed sources leave more sediment, which settles in reservoirs and tower tanks. Cleaning those every 3 to 4 months keeps the build-up down. It removes what's inside the tank; it can't add supply or change what the tubewell pumps up.

When the road floods

The road itself is one of Gurugram's monsoon trouble spots. In August 2024 Golf Course Road was among the worst-affected areas in the city's heavy rain, and in July 2025 a deluge of 133 mm in 12 hours submerged key stretches of Golf Course Road and NH-48. In August 2025, The Tribune listed it among the city's waterlogging hotspots.

For a flat on the 14th floor, the risk isn't water at the door. It's what the water leaves behind around the towers: puddles in podiums, planters and basement corners where mosquitoes breed within days. After heavy rain:

Inside the flat: mosquito treatment for a 3BHK costs ₹1,899; cold ULV fogging for a 3 or 4BHK is ₹1,399.
For the society: ask the agency to clear standing water in basements and podiums; thermal fogging of grounds is priced per sq ft (₹1 to ₹2, minimum ₹2,499).
For the reservoir: if surface water could have entered an underground tank, have it cleaned before use.

Offices on the road

Golf Course Road also carries office towers, and their pantries and washrooms need the same care as homes, on a different clock. We clean offices after hours or at weekends.
