Water on the Extension Road

Several sectors along the road sit at the end of GMDA's lines. Newslaundry's June 2026 report names Sectors 59, 63 and 63A among Gurugram's tail-end areas, where supply comes late and short. In January 2023, when the NCR channel breached, Sectors 58 and 59 were among those left without water, and tanker rates doubled.

Societies here usually keep big reservoirs and back them up with tubewells or tankers when supply runs short. Water from several sources leaves more sediment in tanks, and a new society's tanks may not have been cleaned since the builder handed over. Our advice: get the first clean done when you move in (it's part of the Move-in Ready Pack for your flat's overhead tank), then every 3 to 4 months while tubewell or tanker water is in use. A clean empties, scrubs and rinses the tank; the supply problem stays with GMDA.

Fresh possessions: the first month

Here's the order we suggest for a flat you've just taken over on the Extension Road.

Before furniture: empty-home deep clean. ₹5,199 for a 3BHK, ₹6,299 for a 4BHK, the same as a furnished home. If the builder left heavy cement and paint marks, it's a post-construction clean instead (the deep-clean price plus 25%: ₹6,499 for a 3BHK), confirmed from photos before the visit.
Same week: pest control. Cartons and second-hand furniture bring cockroaches in, and a new building's ducts are already connected. General pest control for a 3BHK is ₹1,649; give it 2–4 weeks to work, and if pests are still active after that, call or WhatsApp us and we revisit free.
Tanks. If your flat has its own overhead tank, clean it before you drink from the line.
Balconies. If pigeons have found the empty flat first, ask the society about netting before fixing anything outside the balcony line.

Monsoon on the Extension Road

In June 2026 the Indian Express listed Golf Course Extension Road among Gurugram's chronic waterlogging spots, where rapid urban expansion and broken infrastructure leave waterlogged traps. The Tribune named "Golf Course Extension" among the city's hotspots in August 2025 as well.

Standing water around the towers and on open ground nearby breeds mosquitoes fast. During the monsoon, mosquito treatment for a 4BHK costs ₹2,199, and cold ULV fogging for a 3 or 4BHK costs ₹1,399. If rain reached your society's underground reservoir, ask the agency to have it cleaned before use.
