Fogging in Noida: what to know
A Noida group housing society is mostly open ground and shade: a podium garden over levels of parking, planters and water features, a boundary green belt, a clubhouse. Adult mosquitoes rest there by day, and since these are common areas, regular rounds are for the AOA or the builder's maintenance agency to arrange. By 1 October 2026, Gautam Buddh Nagar had logged 207 dengue and 56 malaria cases this year, with anti-larval spraying and fogging under way in sectors, societies and villages. The 2025 count passed 550 by late October, so the season runs well into autumn.
Water decides the rest. Noida sits between the Yamuna and the Hindon. In September 2025 the Yamuna flood submerged farmhouses in the flood zone of Sector 150 and Sector 151, and more than 20,000 people were moved out. Standing water left behind by a flood can breed mosquitoes for weeks; thermal fogging along a society's edge helps with the adults while the water goes down.
We fog in the calm early evening and move the round if it rains or the wind rises; a hot afternoon lifts the fog away. Residents get notice the day before, and anyone with asthma keeps windows on the fogged side shut.

Basements and sumps: where fogging stops working
Multi-level basements are where Noida societies get caught. In September 2024, officials at Supertech Ecovillage 2 in Greater Noida West issued a ₹10,000 challan for stagnant water with mosquito larvae in the basement. In July 2026, after almost 20 hours of rain, residents of Eco Village-1 in Greater Noida West reported water in the basement parking and seepage through the basement ceiling, and pumps were sent to 28 low-lying spots across the city.
A challan like that is about larvae; fog only kills adults flying while it hangs in the air. After a basement floods: pump it out, clear silt and blocked drains, empty or treat water that stays (larvicide is part of mosquito control), check the sump lids, then fog the parking and podium edges.
