Water in Sector 50

The Noida Authority supplies both halves of the sector, but the water ends up in different hands.

  • In a society, the Authority's supply stops at the reservoir. From there, the AOA or the builder's maintenance agency runs the underground tanks and each tower's overhead tanks. As a flat owner, ask the facility desk when the tanks were last cleaned and ask to see the photos.
  • In a plotted house, the line comes to your door and the roof tank and any sump are yours. Clean them about every 6 months on Authority water, or every 3 to 6 if you top up from a borewell.

Noida's piped water is a blend of Ganga, Ranney-well and tubewell water, so some scale on taps and shower glass is normal in both kinds of home. Around Rainbow station and Meghdootam Park

Sector 50's metro station is on the Aqua Line, on Vishwakarma Road between the Sector 51 and Sector 76 stations. It opened in January 2019 as "Noida Sector 50" and was renamed Rainbow in June 2020, when it was dedicated to the transgender community. Meghdootam Park is about half a kilometre from the station.

For homes facing the park, the green brings the usual seasonal visitors: ants trailing in from the beds after rain, and mosquitoes when water stands in planters and pots. Our teams drive in from New Delhi; tell us your society gate or house number and use the station or the park as the landmark.
