Faridabad's plotted sectors have been building upward. In June 2024 The Tribune reported that a ban on stilt-plus-four buildings without an approved plan had been in force for about a year, and residents said many four-floor buildings stand on plots smaller than the 180 sq yd minimum. A common pattern in the older sectors: an older house is pulled down, three or four floors go up over stilt parking, and each floor is sold or let on its own. Whoever takes a floor gets the site team's leftovers: cement on the tiles, putty dust in the window channels, paint on the glass, and often a staircase still being finished.

Across the Agra Canal, Greater Faridabad's residential sectors 75 to 89 include many group-housing societies, with BPTP alone developing over 1,000 acres there. New supply in the city leans to 2BHK flats, then 3BHK, according to a Liases Foras–CREDAI report. Owners usually take the flat bare and add a false ceiling, a modular kitchen and wardrobes under the society's fit-out rules. The final clean follows those rules too: our names to the gate, machines up by the service lift, the corridor left as we found it.

Older homes in NIT Faridabad, Old Faridabad and Ballabgarh are usually renovated in parts, a bathroom or the kitchen at a time, while the family lives in the rest of the house. Dust drifts into rooms nobody touched, so tell us which rooms had the work done: those get the heavy clean.
