Pest control and cleaning in Sector 16
When August's downpour pushed water into Sector 16 homes, the work that followed was drying, sanitising and keeping mosquitoes out of rooms that had stayed damp for days. AHC does that work for the older multi-floor houses here between Old Faridabad metro and the sector's inner lanes, along with routine pest control and deep cleaning the rest of the year.

Quick answer
AHC covers Sector 16 and 16A, Faridabad (PIN 121002), from our New Delhi office, 7 days a week, 8 am to 9 pm, and usually the same day for bookings made before noon. Sanitization of a 2BHK costs ₹1,499, indoor mosquito treatment for a 2BHK ₹1,599, general pest control for a 2BHK ₹1,399 with a free revisit if pests are still active after 2–4 weeks, and a furnished 2BHK deep clean ₹4,199, all including GST. For a house that took water, we start with sanitising and the sump, then pests, then the deep clean. When water came inside: August 2026
On 7–8 August 2026 heavy rain hit Faridabad (120 mm in 24 hours at the Faridabad block), and The Tribune reported that water entered homes in Sectors 14 and 16, Dayal Bagh, Vinay Nagar and Old Faridabad. The railway underpass at Old Faridabad, just beyond the sector, was shut that day. For a household in Sector 16, the useful question is what to do in which week.
| When | What's happening in the house | What to book |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1–3 | Floors wet, silt in corners, the smell of drain water | Sanitization (2BHK ₹1,499); open and check the sump |
| Week 1–2 | Cupboard bases and bed boxes still damp; cockroaches and ants move up from the drains | General pest control (2BHK ₹1,399); keep stored grain off the floor |
| Week 2–4 | Mosquitoes breed in trays, coolers and roof outlets that never fully drained | Mosquito treatment (2BHK ₹1,599) |
| Once rooms are dry | Mattress and sofa smell; grime on lower walls and skirting | Mattress cleaning (₹349 single, ₹449 double); sofa cleaning (₹199 a seat, minimum 3 seats); deep clean of the ground floor |

Two things to know before you book. Our cleaners don't repair plaster, flooring or furniture that water has damaged; they clean it. And wooden door frames that stayed wet are where termites look next, so ask for a termite inspection on the ground floor before the next summer.

Sector 16 homes: what we see
Sector 16 is one of Faridabad's older HSVP plotted sectors, with Sector 16A on Delhi–Mathura Road. Its landmarks include the Shri 1008 Parshvanath Digambar Jain Mandir and K L Mehta Dayanand Public School.
| Home | Where | What it usually needs |
|---|---|---|
| Older sector house over several floors | Inner lanes of Sector 16 | Termite checks in ground-floor frames and wardrobes; bathroom deep cleaning (₹549 for one, ₹949 for two) where hard-water scale has built up for years |
| Rented floors with separate families | Across the sector | Each floor booked at its own size; deep clean between tenants |
| Homes near the station and metro | Sector 16A, by Old Faridabad metro and the railway station | Dust from the main road on sills and grilles; cockroaches from nearby eateries |
| Ground floors that took water | Wherever water entered in August 2026 | The order in the section above: sanitise, check the sump, treat, then clean |

Water in Sector 16
Houses here take Faridabad's municipal supply, drawn from Ranney wells on the Yamuna bed and MCF tubewells, and most add a submersible or the odd tanker. Water is stored in an underground sump at ground level and pumped to a roof tank for each floor. We found no supply news specific to Sector 16.
The August flood is what matters for your sump. A sump sits below the floor, so it's the first tank that silt and street water can reach through a loose lid or a cracked rim. Once the water has gone down, open it. If there's mud on the floor of the sump or a line of silt on the walls, have it emptied, cleaned and disinfected before you use it again.
There is a city-wide reason to keep tanks disinfected too: in early 2024, 55 of 80 drinking-water samples tested in Faridabad failed the chlorine test. A clean tank doesn't fix the supply, but it stops the tank itself from adding to the problem.

Smog season beside the station
Sector 16A has one of Faridabad's air-quality monitoring stations. On a GRAP-III morning in November 2024 it read AQI 346 at 9 am. Homes close to the metro, the railway line and Mathura Road get a fine grey film on sills, grilles, fan blades and balcony floors through November and December.
- A Home Refresh (₹1,999 for a 2BHK) every few weeks in smog season, with balconies (₹399 each) and fans (₹79 each) added when the dust is heavy. Add-ons and anything under ₹549 are booked with another service.
- Window tracks and mesh cleaned before Diwali, not after, so the first smog doesn't stick to old grime.
- Rat checks in November: as nights cool, rats move indoors from drains and the railway side.
