Quick answer

AHC cleans the underground reservoirs (UGTs) and overhead tanks of Ghaziabad societies, schools, hospitals, offices and factories against one fixed quote including GST, made after a free survey. Tanks up to 30,000 litres follow the size table, ₹699 to ₹4,499 per tank; larger reservoirs, and overhead tanks above 5,000 litres, are priced at the survey. We work for committees in Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara, Kaushambi, Raj Nagar Extension, Crossings Republik, Siddharth Vihar and elsewhere in Ghaziabad.

A mid-rise society of eight blocks: a 5,000-litre overhead tank on each block and one shared 30,000-litre reservoir: 8 × ₹1,499 + ₹4,499 = ₹16,491 including GST.

Towers in Raj Nagar Extension and Crossings Republik often sit on reservoirs far bigger than 30,000 litres, so they're priced after the survey. Source: AHC price book, 6 Oct 2026.

The steps

  1. Free survey with your maintenance supervisor: every tank, its size and access, and the borewell or municipal line feeding it.
  2. One fixed quote with GST, tank by tank, and a timetable round your pumping hours, with a residents' notice the day before.
  3. Dated photos of each tank, with the next due date.

Where a Ghaziabad society's water comes from

Much of Ghaziabad's piped water is groundwater. The municipal corporation's Jalkal department pumps it from tubewells and blends in treated Ganga water from the UP Jal Nigam plants at Siddharth Vihar and Pratap Vihar, but the Ganga share is thin. Indirapuram gets 15 cusecs from the 100-cusec Siddharth Vihar plant and 7 from the 50-cusec Pratap Vihar plant, against demand over three times that, and its TDS often passes 1,500. Many societies add their own borewells, and all of it, silt and scale included, collects in the reservoir.

Inside the boundary wall, the reservoir, the terrace tanks and the pipes between them belong to the society. Indirapuram's roads, drains and water works moved from GDA to the municipal corporation in October 2024, but that handover ends at the society gate; the tanks stay with the AOA or the builder's maintenance team.

Committees also need something to show. A dated photo of each tank, with the disinfectant used and the next due date, answers both the resident who asks and the sampling team.

What the health department asks of societies

In a November 2025 report on Indirapuram's water, Ghaziabad's health department set out what it expects of group housing societies: overhead tanks cleaned every six months, chlorine dosing working, tank lids shut, softening where TDS is high, and regular testing. Of about 200 samples it took in Indirapuram that year, 20 to 25% failed, and the district surveillance officer said society and municipal tanks should be sampled at least every three months.

Slipped schedules show up in the cases. In September 2024, about 20 residents of an 11-tower GDA-scheme society fell sick, and the district lab found coliform in all 39 samples from its tower tanks and borewell; the maintenance firm said the July clean had been pushed to October by the rains and the delay could have contributed. In May 2024, after more than 200 people fell ill at an Indirapuram society, residents blamed sewer water entering the underground reservoir. The cause wasn't confirmed; the society fitted a non-return valve.

We clean and disinfect, and photograph anything that lets dirt in, like a cracked manhole cover or an unmeshed vent. Water testing is an accredited lab's job, and the doser your plumber's or treatment vendor's.

Fire-fighting water usually sits in its own UGT compartment. We clean the drinking-water compartments; fire-fighting tanks and tanks holding STP water for flushing are quoted separately at the survey.

October: don't drain a reservoir during the canal closure

The Ganga Canal shuts for desilting for about three weeks most Octobers; it did in both 2024 and 2025. Trans-Hindon societies in Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara and Kaushambi then run on groundwater alone, and in 2025 residents said water wasn't reaching upper floors. Book the clean for late September or the fortnight after Ganga water returns, and for March, before the summer tubewell shortages.

How often should a Ghaziabad society clean its tanks?
The health department's line is overhead tanks every six months. Reservoirs that also take borewell water are better done every three to six months, and about every three if tanker water goes in.
Will residents be left without water?
No. We take one compartment or a few towers' tanks at a time, after the morning pumping, and the AOA gives residents a day's notice.
Society ki tanki saal mein kitni baar saaf honi chahiye?
Overhead tanki har 6 mahine. Borewell ka paani bhi aata ho to neeche wala reservoir har 3 se 6 mahine, tanker ka paani aaye to lagbhag har 3 mahine.
