Water in Rajendra Nagar: July 2026

On 6 July 2026, homes in Rajendra Nagar and Radheshyam Park got dirty, foul-smelling tap water. It got worse. By late July, some parts of Rajendra Nagar had gone 10 days with no water at all. In Sabarwal Gali, New Rajendra Nagar Industrial Area, about 100 houses had disrupted supply for 12 days, and what did come was dirty. Shyam Park had contaminated water for about 15 days, even though a new pipeline had been laid there about a month and a half earlier. Families got by on their submersible pumps and bottled water; the Ward 3 councillor wrote to the municipal corporation, and Jalkal said teams were on it.

Earlier, in May 2026, digging for an 11 kV cable in Sector 2 sometimes broke water pipelines and left houses short for a day at a time.

Two things follow. Every house that filled its sump or roof tank during those weeks stored dirty water and the silt that came with it. And every house that switched to its submersible put borewell water into the same tanks. Neither clears by itself.

Your tank after dirty supply, step by step

  1. Wait until the tap runs clear for a few days. Cleaning a tank while dirty water is still coming in only refills it with the same thing.
  2. Clean the sump first, then the roof tank. The motor lifts whatever is in the sump to the roof, so the order matters. A sump clean takes two technicians and three hours or more.
  3. Empty, scrub, rinse, disinfect. Our 9-step tank clean drains the tank, removes the sludge, washes it under high pressure, scrubs it by hand, vacuums it out, then disinfects and rinses it, with before and after photos on WhatsApp.
  4. Run the taps and flush the geyser lines once the tank is refilled.
  5. Report bad supply to Jalkal every time. A tank clean removes what has settled in your tank and disinfects it; it can't repair the street pipeline or make the supply itself clean.

When rain comes inside

On 10 July 2026, two days after heavy rain and after the municipal corporation had cleared the roads, water was still standing inside homes and basements in Rajendra Nagar. Residents bailed it out with buckets and hired their own pumps. Rajendra Nagar was waterlogged in the July 2025 rain too, and its roads and a park flooded again on 4 September 2026.

Once the water is out, the house needs more than a mop:

  • Floors, skirting and the lower walls scrubbed with a machine and disinfected, because rainwater from the street carries drain water with it.
  • Bathrooms and the kitchen deep-cleaned, since floor traps often back up first.
  • A termite check where walls stayed damp, especially around wooden door frames and fitted cupboards on the ground floor.
  • Sanitization of handles, switches and surfaces the water touched, if someone in the house is unwell.

Services most booked in Rajendra Nagar

Rajendra Nagar: your questions

Is this Rajendra Nagar in Delhi?
No, this page is for Rajendra Nagar in Sahibabad, Ghaziabad. We work in Delhi's Old and New Rajinder Nagar too, at the same prices; WhatsApp us your address.
Our water was dirty for two weeks. Is it safe to just keep using the tank?
Not until it's cleaned. Whatever settled during those weeks stays at the bottom. Wait until the tap runs clear, then have the sump and roof tank emptied, scrubbed and disinfected.
We used our submersible during the outage. Does that change anything?
Borewell water goes into the same tanks and can leave scale and sediment. Clean the tanks once municipal supply is back to normal, and every six months after that.
Rain came into the house. What should we book first?
A deep clean of the affected floor, with sanitization if anyone is unwell. Add a termite check if walls or woodwork stayed damp for days.
Do you cover Sector 2 and Sabarwal Gali?
Yes, along with Shyam Park and the rest of Rajendra Nagar. Book before 12 pm and we can usually come the same day.
Paani 10 din band raha, phir ganda aaya. Tanki aur sump dono saaf karwane hain, kitna?
1,000 litre tak ki chhat ki tanki ₹699 aur 1,500 litre tak ka sump ₹1,199, GST ke saath. 365 plan members ko ek hi visit mein har extra tanki par ₹149 kam.
