From plot to first night: what to book, in order

A home that is still being built gives you one chance that a finished home doesn't: treating the soil underneath before it's sealed.

Before the floor is laid: anti-termite for the soil. Pre-construction treatment goes into the foundation trenches, plinth and the soil under the ground-floor slab. Once the slab is poured, that soil can't be reached the same way again.
When the builders leave: post-construction cleaning. Cement splashes, paint spots, tile grout haze and fine dust in every track and switchboard. A post-construction clean is priced at the deep-clean rate plus 25%.
Before the furniture arrives: pest control. Cockroaches ride in with moving cartons; treating empty rooms is quicker and reaches every corner.
Before the first fill: the tank. A new tank collects dust and debris during construction. Wash it out before you drink from it.

Water in Wave City

Your sector's maintenance office can tell you where your block's water comes from, which decides how often a tank needs cleaning. Two things hold whatever the source. A tank that sat open or half-built through construction needs washing out before first use, and after that, every six months is a sensible routine. A tank clean removes dust, sludge and germs; it doesn't change the quality of the supply.
