Pest control and cleaning in Janakpuri
Janakpuri was planned in the late 1960s, and many of its DDA blocks have now passed forty, with plumbing ducts, door frames and tanks that show their age. Since late 2025 some B-block households have also been dealing with dark, sludgy tap water that settles in tanks and clogs motors, so we explain exactly what our cleaning covers before we start.

Water in Janakpuri
Janakpuri's tap water has been in the news for the wrong reasons. In May 2025 the National Green Tribunal took up a case brought by the RWA of A-1 Block, which said sewage was getting into its supply. Samples the Central Pollution Control Board collected in A-1 Block that September found total coliform and E. coli in 7 of 17. DJB told the tribunal it repaired pipeline faults in July 2025 and started laying a new 730-metre line that August.
In May 2026 the Tribune reported a separate problem in the B1C, B3A, B3B and BE DDA blocks: tap water that had run black and foul-smelling regularly since November 2025, with sludge choking household motors and filters.
What a tank clean can and can't do. Our team drains the tank, removes the sludge and slime that have already settled, scrubs and rinses it, and sends you photos of the inside. It can't stop dirty water entering through the pipe, and we don't test water. If your tap water looks or smells wrong, report it to DJB first (its central control room is 1916). Book the tank clean once supply has run clear for a while, so fresh sludge doesn't settle in a just-cleaned tank. A choked pump or filter is a plumber's job; we clean tanks, we don't repair motors.

Living beside the district parks
Janakpuri has four large shared green spaces: Janakpuri District Park, B-Block District Park, the C4 Block District Park and the Dussehra Ground. Homes on the ground and first floors facing them get more outdoor visitors than flats higher up.
- Ants and lizards come in through balcony doors and window frames when the lawns are watered or the rain starts. One general pest visit covers both; give it 2–4 weeks to work, and if they're still active after that, we revisit free.
- Mosquitoes breed in standing water in pots, coolers and AC trays on balconies facing the parks. Book mosquito control before the dengue months, not after the first bite.
- Termites in ground-floor homes can travel from soil and old tree roots into door frames. A termite inspection is worth it if you see mud tubes on a wall.

Market days and the District Centre
Every Saturday a market sets up along Ram Mandir Marg, running past C3 and the C4 sub-blocks from C4-B to C4-G. If your home faces that stretch, keep the entrance, drain covers and balcony corners clear after the stalls pack up, since leftover food and cartons on the road can draw cockroaches and rats towards houses. If they keep coming in, book a treatment rather than relying on spray from a shop.
The Janakpuri District Centre, with offices, shops and its crafts bazaar, books a different kind of work: office cleaning after hours, sanitization for clinics and coaching rooms, and cockroach control for restaurants and food counters.
