Pest control and cleaning in Pitampura
DDA laid out Pitampura's blocks in the 1980s, so many kitchens, plumbing ducts and rooftop tanks here have had close to four decades of use. AHC treats cockroaches in Janta flats, deep cleans HIG and Super HIG flats, and cleans the tanks that fill in DJB's morning and evening supply windows, at one fixed price including GST.

DDA planned Pitampura in the 1980s and named it after the older village near Madhuban Chowk. The colony mixes Janta flats, HIG and Super HIG flats, plotted homes and cooperative societies, so two neighbours one lane apart can need quite different jobs.
| Part of Pitampura | What's there | What to book |
|---|---|---|
| Janta flats on the village side, including those near Shiva Market | Pitampura's most compact DDA flats, and the area where June 2025's pre-monsoon showers left heavy water standing | Cockroach control in the sink cabinet and floor traps (₹1,099 for a 1BHK); a tank clean once supply runs clear after any dirty-water spell; Home Refresh (₹1,599 for a 1BHK) |
| HIG and Super HIG flats | Larger DDA flats, most of them 35 to 40 years old | A furnished 3BHK deep clean (₹5,199); kitchen deep cleaning (₹1,499) for decades of grease behind old platforms |
| KU, FU, ED and ND blocks | Inner lanes that flood in the monsoon, now getting new roads and drainage lines | General pest control after the rains; mosquito control once the water drains |
| Plotted homes and cooperative societies | Houses with their own roof tank and often an underground sump; societies with RWA hours and common tanks | Underground sump cleaning from ₹1,199; a free termite inspection for old door frames; a quoted society tank clean |
| Kohat Enclave and Pitampura Village | Fed straight from the Haiderpur plant; DJB lists Kohat Enclave as 24-hour supply | Overhead tank cleaning on a steady six-month cycle |
| Netaji Subhash Place | District centre with offices, shops and Pacific Mall | Office cleaning (from ₹2,500 for up to 500 sq ft, then ₹4–6 per sq ft) and sanitization (₹2–3 per sq ft, minimum ₹2,999) |

Water in Pitampura
DJB's published timings give Uttari Pitampura and Poorvi and Dakshini Pitampura water twice a day, from 5:30 to 8:30 am and 5:30 to 8 pm, out of the Pitampura Primary UGR. Most homes therefore fill a tank twice daily and draw from it in between, and stored water is where silt and a slimy film build up.
Supply also stops for works. On the evening of 3 December 2025, DJB shifted a flow meter and valves at the Sainik Vihar overhead tank and Shiva Market, and Pitampura and Saraswati Vihar had no water or low pressure.
The hardest case was at the Janta Flats near Shiva Market. In July 2024, residents told The Tribune their supply was "muddy and has a pungent smell". A DJB official said the water line ran 1.5 ft below a drain and small leaks were letting sewage in. Residents cleaned their tank and the dirty water kept coming, because the fault was in the pipe. That shows what tank cleaning can and can't do: it removes the sludge and film that have settled inside, and it cannot stop bad water entering from the line. If your water looks or smells wrong, report it to DJB on 1916 first, then book a clean once the supply runs clear.
For a Pitampura home on DJB water alone, clean the roof tank about every six months, and sooner after a supply cut or any muddy-water spell. Overhead tanks cost ₹699 up to 1,000 litres and ₹999 up to 2,000 litres, and underground sumps start at ₹1,199 up to 1,500 litres, all including GST; 365-plan members get ₹149 off each extra tank in the same visit. After rain in the inner lanes
Two recent reports show where rain hurts in Pitampura. On 17 June 2025, pre-monsoon showers left "heavy water accumulation" in the DDA Janta Flats area of Pitampura village. In December 2025, The Pioneer reported new roads and drainage lines for the KU, FU, ED and ND blocks, and noted that inner lanes there flood in the monsoon.
When a lane holds water for a day or two, ground-floor homes feel it for weeks. Mosquitoes breed in whatever is left in pots, coolers and low corners; cockroaches come up through floor traps; and damp lower walls draw ants. For a ground-floor flat or house in these blocks, the order that works is mosquito control in the week after the water drains (₹1,599 for a 2BHK), general pest control two to three weeks later, and a free termite inspection if the plaster near the floor is still damp in October.

Finding you: TV Tower, Dilli Haat and three Red Line stops
Pitampura's landmarks make directions easy. The TV Tower has stood here since 1988 and Dilli Haat Pitampura opened in 2008. Netaji Subhash Place is the district centre, with Pacific Mall. Three Red Line stations serve the colony: Kohat Enclave, Netaji Subhash Place (also a Pink Line interchange) and Madhuban Chowk, which was called Pitampura station before it was renamed.
When you book, send your block code (TP, KU, FU and so on) with the nearest of these landmarks. Our team comes from the AHC office in South Delhi, so the earlier you book, the better your slot.
