Restaurant pest control in Faridabad, starting where the drains do.

Faridabad's municipal health wing was reported this autumn to have fined five well-known eateries over serious hygiene lapses, while state food-safety visits remain irregular. We start Faridabad contracts at the floor traps and drain lines, where most of the city's kitchen rats and drain flies come from, and keep a dated record of every visit.

Quick answer

At a glance: AHC carries out pest control for Faridabad restaurants, cafés, banquet kitchens and sweet shops with seating, with teams coming from our New Delhi office. We begin with a free kitchen audit that traces every drain and entry point, then agree a written schedule and a fixed price, billed quarterly in advance with a GST invoice; treatment starts at ₹1–2 per sq ft per service, minimum 800 sq ft. Every visit adds a dated report, chemical log and station map to your file, plus a weekly self-check sheet your staff fill in between visits. Under the Make-It-Right Promise, give the treatment 2–4 weeks to work; if pests are still active after that, call or WhatsApp us and we revisit free.

Two inspectors, uneven visits

Two bodies look at a Faridabad kitchen, and neither visits on a timetable.

BodyWhat we knowWhat it means for you
Haryana food safety wingIn May 2024, one Food Safety Officer covered Faridabad and Palwal against four sanctioned posts. From January 2023 to March 2024 the department took 97 samples, only 15 of them from restaurant and hotel kitchens, and sent them to a lab in Chandigarh. Its Designated Officer called sampling "a continuous or regular process".Visits can be months apart, then arrive without warning. Your own records carry the gap.
Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF), health sectionLicenses food trades: its 2024 survey counted 551 meat shops and said "Ninety-nine per cent" were reportedly unlicensed. This year its health authorities were reported to have fined eateries for hygiene.Civic checks are likely to look at visible hygiene: waste, drains, pests.

Drains: the city's weak point

In August 2024 civic sources said almost half of Faridabad's roughly 800 km sewage and drain network was choked or damaged. In August 2026 heavy rain again left the Neelam–BK Road and Sector 15 under water. When the street drain backs up, everything in it moves towards the nearest open trap, and in a restaurant that is the floor drain by the dishwash.

FSSAI's hygiene rating checklist expects drains "equipped with grease and cockroach traps". In Faridabad we go further on drains than we would elsewhere:

  • treat every floor trap and the dishwash line at every visit, not only when flies appear;
  • list missing or broken trap covers and grease traps that need emptying;
  • book a follow-up visit after heavy rain on request, when backflow brings rats and drain flies in.

Cooking below, families above

Much of NIT was built as shop-houses, with the shop downstairs and the family upstairs. A restaurant kitchen in one of these shares a staircase, a drain stack and often a wall with someone's home. That changes how we work:

  • Gel and bait, not broad spraying, so there is no odour drifting upstairs.
  • Visits when the kitchen is shut and residents are settled, agreed in advance.
  • The stair and drain stack are part of the job, because rats use them to move between floors.
  • A short note for the residents if they want to know what was used, with product names and how long to keep away from treated areas, as your technician advises.

Kitchen staff clear and cover food and utensils before we start; our team doesn't handle them.

A weekly self-check between visits

When inspectors come rarely, it is easy to let things slide. We leave a one-page sheet for your night supervisor to tick each week: droppings along walls, live cockroaches at the dishwash, flies at the bin, open drain covers, gaps under doors, sacks on the floor. Anything ticked, send us a photo. The sheets go in the same file as our reports, so the file shows care between visits as well as on them.

Faridabad questions

How often will a food safety officer visit my restaurant?
Nobody can say. In 2024 one officer covered Faridabad and Palwal, so visits are irregular and often follow complaints. Keep the file current every week, not just before a visit.
Families live above my kitchen. Will they smell anything?
We use gel baits and drain treatment rather than broad sprays, and agree the visit time with you. We can also leave a note for the residents.
The rats come from the street drain. Is that your job or the MCF's?
The street drain is the MCF's. Your traps, covers, door gaps and stations are ours to treat and yours to fix, and we list each one in the report.
Baarish ke baad kitchen mein naali se makkhiyan aur chuhe kyun aate hain?
Shehar ki naaliyan bhar jaati hain aur paani ulta trap se kitchen mein aata hai. Hum har visit par trap treat karte hain aur tez baarish ke baad dobara aate hain.
Do you cover Ballabgarh and Greater Faridabad?
Yes, we cover all of Faridabad; tell us your sector when you book. Our teams come from New Delhi; bookings are open 7 days, 8 am to 9 pm.
